Colostrum is a fluid, packed with nutrients and antibodies, produced by your breasts up to the first few days after birth.
It is highly concentrated, so your baby will only need a small amount at each feed.

Colostrum is expressed by hand. A mechanical breast pump has too many surfaces for the colostrum to stick to.
The droplets can be quite tiny.
Colostrum can be collected two to three times each day in the same syringe.

At the end of the collecting day, the colostrum can be frozen.
